Deputies Erika Hilton (PSOL-SP) and Pastor Henrique Vieira (PSOL-RJ) called the Federal Supreme Court (STF) requesting that former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) be banned from leaving the country and have his passport withheld on 24 hours. The request was made on Friday.
The request for the precautionary measure was forwarded to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF. In the request, the PSOL parliamentarians say that there are indications that the former president “may be interested in fleeing the country”.
Hacker Walter Delgatti Neto, who is in prison and testified to the CPMI on January 8, said that Bolsonaro’s campaign planned to forge the invasion of an electronic ballot box, one month before the election. He, however, did not present evidence and did not respond to the opposition’s questions.
Bolsonaro’s defense also filed a criminal complaint against Delgatti because of the statements given to the CPMI. According to the ex-president’s lawyers, he would have suffered slander and defamation when he was accused by the Hacker of asking him to assume responsibility for an alleged tap on Moraes’ cell phone.
