In the fight to prevent French striker Kylian Mbappé from leaving Paris Saint-Germain for free at the end of the 2023-2024 season, the club turned to Ziad Hammoud, a friend of the player and who also maintains ties with the Qatari leaders, to try to renew the player contract.
As reported this Tuesday by the radio “RMC Sport“, Hammoud will play the role of intermediary between PSG and the young star, to try to advance in negotiations in the coming days.
According to the French press, the Qatari is, in turn, the manager hired by Mbappé to manage business related to his image.
In addition, the Lebanese based in France and former director of the media group BeIN Media Group – founded by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi – maintains a good relationship with the president of PSG.
The relationship between the French club and Mbappé is going through critical moments, since information emerged that the 24-year-old striker confirmed to PSG his intention not to renew his contract next year.
Officially, however, the striker has insisted that he still intends to wear the Paris Saint-Germain shirt next season.
The club’s board, however, does not accept this idea, which would imply a free departure of the player at the end of the season.
“We can’t let the best player in the world go for free,” Al-Khelaïfi said recently during Spanish coach Luis Enrique’s presentation at PSG.
