PSDB-SP says that Joice is inconsistent and defends her expulsion – 01/31/2023 – Panel

The president of the PSDB in the city of São Paulo, Fernando Alfredo, says that federal deputy Joice Hasselmann (SP) is inconsistent when criticizing the party. He claims he will represent against her in the caption’s ethics council asking for her expulsion.

In an interview with the Panel, Joice said that she lost the election for deputy, among other reasons, because the party has become an “anchor”. She also demanded self-criticism from the legend.

The parliamentarian received only 13,000 votes in the last election and did not win a new term. It was an abrupt drop from the level obtained in 2018, when she obtained more than 1 million votes.

“It’s good to remember that she [Joice] took the ceiling of the electoral fund in the PSDB, of R$ 3 million, to have this vexation of votes. She was a victim of her own inconsistency”, says Alfredo.

The toucan directorate of the capital has a long history of friction with Joice, who joined in 2022 at the invitation of former governor of São Paulo João Doria. At the time, there were complaints about the fact that she harshly criticized then-mayor Bruno Covas, who died in 2021, during the previous year’s municipal campaign.

“Here in São Paulo, we didn’t even want her affiliation. Now, with that statement, we’re going to send her to the Ethics Council, so that she can be expelled from the party”, says Alfredo.
