Ivana Cei and the public prosecutor of the Public Ministry of Santa Catarina, Fernando Comin, were elected by the National Council of Attorneys General of Justice of the States and of the Union, to exercise the first mandate in the vacancies destined to the state public ministries.
Moacyr Rey Filho (Federal District and Territories Public Ministry), Antônio Edílio Magalhães (Federal Public Ministry), Ângelo Fabiano Farias (Labour Public Ministry), Paulo Cezar Passos (State Public Ministry) and Jaime were nominated for reappointment. by Cassio Miranda (Military Public Ministry).
After voting in the Constitution and Justice Commission, the names will be considered by the Plenary, where they need the votes of an absolute majority of senators to be approved.
Counselors are appointed by the President of the Republic for two-year terms, with one reappointment permitted. Afterwards, they take office before the President of the National Council of the Public Ministry.
