Prosecutor Éder Abreu joins the Public Ministry’s inactive list – News of Brazil

Last Friday, the 5th, the attorney general of the Public Ministry of Amapá (MP-AP), Paulo Celso Ramos, accompanied by the acting chief of staff, Rodrigo Celestino, handed over the Retirement Ordinance to the final court prosecutor, Éder Geraldo Abreu. The act took place at the Office of the Attorney General of Justice-Prosecutor Haroldo Franco, Bairro Araxá.
The actions of public prosecutor Éder Abreu are intertwined with the history of the institution and the state of Amapá. There were 32 years of work carried out in the ministerial career, which began after passing the 1st Competition for member of the MP-AP, integrating the first group that began the construction of the MP institution in the state.
His first position was at the Ferreira Gomes Public Prosecutor’s Office, where he remained for six months. He was then assigned to the 1st Criminal Prosecutor’s Office and Jury Court of Santana, having served on the 1st Jury held in the District of Santana, alongside judge Ernesto Colares.
After Santana, the prosecutor was a member of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Macapá Jury Court, then to the then Citizenship Public Prosecutor’s Office, today called Constitutional Rights, where he developed the ‘Citizen Bus’ project, bringing services closer to the community.
Éder Abreu left Citizenship and went to the investigation area where, after 15 years of work at the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Civil and Criminal Investigations (PICC), in 2019, he left to occupy the position of the 1st Family Justice Prosecutor’s Office, Orphans , Successions and Disability of Macapá, where he remains until the date of his voluntary retirement due to contribution time, January 7, 2024.
The prosecutor says goodbye saying that the feeling is a mixture of joy, for being able to care for and be closer to family members and starting a new stage, and on the other hand sadness, because he is leaving a big family, which is the Public Ministry, where reaped friendship and learning

A reflection that makes us think about how important it is to take care of each other, take care of society and others. Doing this little exercise of citizenship every day is what makes us leave with this feeling of duty accomplished, that we have built something beautiful and powerful that is the Public Ministry of the State of Amapá”declared Éder Abreu.
The members of the MP-AP also showed gratitude for carrying out their role with great dedication and wished the member who leaves the activity success in his new journey.
“Prosecutor Éder Abreu has always been a dedicated and responsible professional, who fulfilled his obligations and now, with his retirement, he will have the chance to start a new stage in his life. Today, I thank you on behalf of the institution Public Ministry for your commitment, and I wish you good health and prosperity”said the attorney general of justice, Paulo Celso Ramos.
