Project seeks inclusion in the labor market of graduates of technical training courses at Cetam

Manaus (AM) — Governor Wilson Lima launched, this Tuesday (20), the Emprega+ Cetam project, which aims to promote the insertion in the labor market of students who have graduated from technical training, professional qualification and technical specialization courses at the Education Center Tecnológica do Amazonas (Cetam).

We make the student who has taken a Cetam course available to the market so that companies that are also registered here can make the assessment and, according to their needs, hire this student who is now going to the job market, whether he is the one at the looking for the first job or someone who wants to improve their position, their income“,

Professional and Technological Education (EPT) aims to train citizens to become competitive professionals, facilitating access to the labor market. Cetam, committed to this principle, plans and offers courses in line with the demands of the local market, aiming at quality training and employability.

Through the Emprega+ Cetam project, students enrolled in ongoing courses and graduates will be registered to compete for job openings in companies from various productive sectors, with which partnerships will be signed to bring students closer to job opportunities.

“We planned the project so that a platform could find companies with job vacancies and graduate students within their potential. This platform will unite the two ends and we will have the number with data on how many students who graduated from Cetam were placed back in the job market. Governor Wilson Lima is a great supporter of Cetam’s projects and we have seen that he is very committed to taking opportunities”,

said the professor and director-president of Cetam, Hellen Matute.

On the occasion of the launch of the project, the testimony of an entrepreneur from Parintins, who has been working for 20 years in the field of producing uniforms, uniforms and knitwear, caught the attention of the governor, since the report was that when the company expanded its business for the capital, it sought qualified labor from Cetam, which offered a range of qualified professionals from the courses offered and today 90% of the staff are graduates of the Center for Technological Education of Amazonas.

Main actions

Among the main actions of the project are the survey of professionals qualified by the Professional and Technological Education Units (UEPTs) of Cetam; periodic mapping of job openings for course graduates; the establishment of partnerships with companies to insert students who have graduated into the job market; and the promotion of actions that develop the entrepreneurial capacity of students.

To ensure efficient communication between students, project coordination and companies, an integrated communication system will be used, including WhatsApp, webchat and telephony, allowing greater interaction between those involved.

Vacancies in courses

In four and a half years, the Wilson Lima administration promoted the offer of approximately 732,000 places in technical and professional courses at Cetam units in the capital and countryside.
