Manaus (AM) – The deputies unanimously approved Bill No. 247, authored by state deputy Mayra Dias (Avante), in the session this Wednesday (30), at the Legislative Assembly of the State of Amazonas (Aleam). The project seeks to create a state plan for information and contingencies related to rainfall.
According to the proposal, the main objective of the plan is to disseminate information about rainfall in an accessible manner, preferably by means of telecommunications and telematics. In addition, it establishes actions for prevention, preparation and immediate response to disasters caused by heavy rains, as well as medium and long-term measures to reduce the negative impacts caused by this phenomenon.
Mayra Dias justifies the importance of this plan by highlighting the need to minimize the damage caused by heavy rains, which can result in human losses, material damage, homelessness and homelessness.
