Applications are now open for the JournalismAI scholarship program, a global initiative by the London School of Economics and Political Science that aims to train news organizations in the responsible use of artificial intelligence, with support from the Google News Initiative.
Professionals from anywhere in the world can apply, as long as they are fluent in English and have experience using artificial intelligence tools. The program will select up to 30 people.
In this edition, project proposals will be evaluated that seek to build solutions to improve reporting or newsroom processes and include innovative content and formats, based on generative artificial intelligence technology.
Candidates can register individually or in pairs. Each chosen project will be awarded a single grant of 6,000 pounds (approximately R$37,300) to fund the development of the research.
The program lasts seven months and requires a dedication of eight hours per week. The meetings will be held remotely and the scholarship can be combined with other jobs.
Interested parties can apply until January 26th via the program website.
