Professionals seek graduate degrees in technology to change areas – 01/29/2023 – Education

With the advancement of technology and the dynamism in the job market caused by it, educational institutions have created new courses to serve professionals who seek to specialize in the digital area.

See below the testimony of three students of courses in the area.

Gabriel Gianantonio Novaes, 23, student of the social media marketing course at FGV

I graduated in radio and TV. I felt that the post would help with my current job, as a web designer at an advertising agency, and with my placement in the market.

Classes are face-to-face, twice a week, and there is a platform for us to follow the disciplines over the internet as well.

In graduation I learned the creative part and nowadays I see more the commercial part, which is very important and has expanded my perspectives in relation to work.

What most attracts me about the course is that the classes address both the practical and the theoretical aspects. I also enjoy the discussions around tactics used by digital marketing. Debates of this type are very good for us to understand what has already been done and how we can innovate.

I already feel that the course, which I started in April 2022, is an important differential. At the company I work for, I started to participate more in the planning and development of projects aimed at producing content for social networks and I owe this to the knowledge I acquired in the graduate program.

Pâmela de Lima, 31 years old, student of the postgraduate course in metaverse development at Anhembi Morumbi

I graduated in systems development and administration and today I work in a technology company, in the sector of planning and development of artificial intelligence.

I did a dynamic on the metaverse at work and saw that this is the area in which I want to work.

I joined the course in October 2022, so I’m still at the beginning, but I really liked the dynamics. It has a platform with access to all subjects, and we have live classes with teachers.

There are lectures with people from companies linked to technology. They talk about what is required to work in the field. This opens many doors and allows us to update ourselves.

When you have an immersive experience on the topic, you understand many things. My view of the metaverse has expanded a lot with the course.

I put on my profiles on social networks that I study this area, and company representatives send messages to find out how it works, because they have been looking for people with this type of
knowledge.

Eduardo Moraes Bortolucci, 38, graduate student in animation and virtual games, at Faap

What attracted me the most was the dynamics of the classes. I have a degree in art history. I felt that learning about game development and animation would help me in the technical part, to put ideas into practice that I had already seen but did not know how to execute, such as writing a script and developing a story.

Being able to take a course where you learn how to develop a game, from narrative to technical execution, is rewarding, especially because the classes are very practical.

We are evaluated through works. These projects are aggregators, because they encourage contact with the area in a dynamic way. We also listen and follow professionals talking about their experiences.

Classes are online, which is fine with me. It’s easier to reconcile with work.

I have been on the course for six months and my expectation is to be able to enter the audiovisual market once and for all. I’m a public servant, but my goal is to attract the market’s eye.

What helps me the most in the postgraduate course is building a portfolio, something that is highlighted in the disciplines.
