President of the newly created CPI of the MST, Deputy Lieutenant Colonel Zucco (Republicanos-RS) calls the movement a “terrorist” and a “criminal group disguised as a social movement” in a recently released book.
Zucco is the author of “Fazuéle: De volta à Cena do Crime”, which also features articles by Bolsonarist parliamentarians, such as Senator Damares Alves (Republicanos-DF) and federal deputies Ricardo Salles (PL-SP), Carla Zambelli ( PL-SP). Bia Kicis (PL-DF) and Mário Frias (PL-SP), among others.
The work, funded with resources from Zucco’s parliamentary quota, makes a critical summary of the beginning of the Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) government in several areas. In the chapter dedicated to the agrarian question, Zucco writes that “land invasions have become routine”.
“The acts of terrorism by the MST are precisely against the important economic sector that accounts for a third of the Brazilian GDP and has become a world reference for efficiency, quality and productivity”.
Salles, who will be the rapporteur for the CPI, deals with more general themes in his article, but also addresses land invasions. “The government has not responded effectively to the wave of invasions by the MST and similar groups,” he says.
