Prefecture seeks to regularize areas of Suframa occupied irregularly in Manaus

Manaus (AM) – The mayor of Manaus, David Almeida, accompanied by the holders of the municipal secretariats for Urban Cleaning (Semulsp), Sabá Reis, and Infrastructure (Seminf), Renato Júnior, met, this Tuesday morning (16), with the new holder from the Manaus Free Trade Zone Superintendence (Suframa), Bosco Saraiva, to discuss projects aimed at regularizing Suframa areas that are being occupied irregularly, such as the Coliseu community, in the South Zone.

The expectation is that the conversation held at the institution’s headquarters, in the Industrial District, South Zone of the Amazonian capital, advances and that land regularization takes place in the second half of this year.

“We discussed demands that we have in common so that we can improve the city of Manaus in terms of land regularization and paving areas that belong to Suframa. These are areas that need to be regularized so that the city hall can issue definitive titles and also make the infrastructure of these occupations. The agenda has advanced a lot in this sense, so that we can speed it up, so that we can carry out these services still in the Summer Plan”,

Almeida emphasized.

According to Bosco Saraiva, initiatives like this are fundamental to guarantee social security to people who live in risk areas, without access to basic services offered by the City Hall of Manaus. “It was an excellent meeting with positive agendas for Manaus and for the Suframa area. This makes us very happy”, highlighted Saraiva.

Another topic discussed at the meeting was the construction of the Industrial District museum, which is part of the “Mais Manaus” program.

The secretary of Seminf, Renato Junior, highlighted the discussion with Suframa for an understanding regarding the responsibility for paving the surroundings of the Industrial District.

“The meeting was very positive and I have no doubt that, in this administration of superintendent osco Saraiva, we will inhibit any type of problem or obstacle, so that we can enter into these areas and advance more and more”,
