The PP bench in the Chamber signaled to the government that it has no interest in the Ministry of Social Development without Bolsa Família, the main social program of the Lula administration.

He also indicated that he would only accept portfolios of the same size or more significant ones, such as Mines and Energy and National Integration.

The negotiations take place in the context of the ministerial reform that Lula will undertake to try to expand his support base in Congress.

According to members of the PP leadership, the bench would not assume the Ministry of Social Development without Bolsa Família, because it would consider the government’s “lack of confidence”. This format, transferring the program to another folder controlled by the PT, has been mentioned as an alternative to accommodate the caption in the Executive.

A PP chief also indicates that “under no circumstances” would the party be interested in the Ministry of Ports and Airports, now headed by Márcio França (PSB).

However, these same interlocutors admit that it is difficult for the PT to dislodge parties that have been allied with the Lula administration since the beginning, such as PSD, which controls Mines and Energy, and União Brasil, which has Integration.

In the PP, the name quoted to assume a possible ministry is André Fufuca (MA), leader of the party in the Chamber.
