Popular car: orders already reach BRL 150 million, 30% of the package – 06/14/2023 – Market

The resources requested by automakers that joined the plan that seeks to reduce the price of popular cars, launched by the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) at the beginning of the month, already add up to R$ 150 million –30% of the ceiling–, according to the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade in Services.
According to the folder, nine automakers joined the program –Renault, Volks, Toyota, Hyundai, Nissan, Honda, GM, Fiat and Peugeot–, making 233 versions of 31 models available to consumers for purchase at a discount. The Ministry of Industry also informs that the list is dynamic and that other models may be included at any time.
