Brasilia DF) – In the anti-democratic acts of January 8, the shock troops of the Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) took 1h30 to reach the Chamber of Deputies. The information is contained in the complaint sent to the Federal Supreme Court (STF) by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR).

According to the document, the then commanding general of the corporation, Colonel Fábio Augusto Vieira, was in the House during the attacks and would have said that he would call the PM’s shock troops to help the Legislative Police.

Fábio, according to the PGR, found Paul Pierre Deeter, director of the Legislative Police Department of the Chamber of Deputies, inside the building. At the time, Paul clarified to the general commander of the PMDF that the Legislative Police would not be sufficient to protect the building and appealed to Fábio to employ the riot police.

The colonel left the place “peacefully, without personal danger” It is “promising the legislative police force that he would soon return accompanied by a shock troop”. The intention would be to remove the demonstrators from the building.

Also according to the document, the colonel instructed the head of the Legislative Police to “he remained there until the General Commander returned with men from the shock battalion”.

“Nevertheless, Fábio left Paul Deeter at the doors of Annex II for approximately 1h30, enough time for the depredations to take place there. Only around 5 pm, when the damage to the Chamber’s headquarters building had already materialized, did the riot police return under the command of Fábio Augusto Vieira”

says the complaint by the PGR.

Operation Incurria

The Federal Police arrested the current general commander of the PMDF, Colonel Klepter Rosa Gonçalves, the former commander Fábio Augusto Vieira and three other officers, this Friday (18).

The warrants carried out by the PF and the PGR this morning were determined by the rapporteur for Inquiry No. 4,923 at the STF, Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
