Through a note published this Wednesday, 1st, the president of the PL-AP (Liberal Party) state directory, Alex de Almeida Pereira, informed that the party will not launch candidacies for councilor positions in Macapá in the next elections year, however, it will do so in all other municipalities.
The note also stated that all representatives and substitutes within Macapá are free to join another party.
As also stated in the note, the aim of the action is to oxygenate the party. And to strengthen the party’s electoral base, candidates for councilor will be launched in 15 of the 16 municipalities in Amapá, excluding only the capital. With this, says the note, the PL intends to elect at least 40 councilors and mayors and vice-mayors, aiming for a strengthened electoral campaign for the 2026 general elections.
