Brasilia DF) – This Thursday (11) the Federal Police launched the 11th phase of Operation Lesa Pátria with the aim of identifying people who financed and encouraged the coup acts of January 8.
In all, 22 search and seizure warrants are being served in São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul and Paraná. The action was authorized by the STF (Federal Supreme Court).
Among the targets are rural producers and businessmen suspected of financing the invasions and depredations of the Palácio do Planalto, Congress and STF buildings.
The blocking of property, assets and values of those investigated up to the limit of R$ 40 million was determined to cover and reimburse damages caused to public property.
The PF operation stems from the four investigation fronts opened after the January 8 acts.
One of them targets possible intellectual authors, and it is this front that can reach former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL). Another aims to map the funders and those responsible for the logistics of the camp and transporting Bolsonaristas to Brasília.
The third focus of the PF investigation is vandals. Investigators want to identify and individualize the conduct of each of those involved in the depredation of historic buildings in the federal capital.
The fourth line of investigation advances on authorities that were omitted during the 8th of January and that facilitated the action of the coup plotters.
These investigations gave rise to the 11 ostensive phases of Lesa Pátria to date.
Also this week, Minister Alexandre de Moraes voted to indict 250 more denounced after the coup attacks on the headquarters of the three Powers on January 8th.
The session that judges the receipt of complaints filed by the PGR (Attorney General of the Republic) against the accused takes place in the virtual plenary of the court, where ministers cast their votes, and runs until next Monday (15).
So far, another 550 people have already become defendants in the Supreme Court due to coup acts.
Part of those denounced in the new trial took part directly in the attacks on the Supreme Court, Congress and the Planalto Palace.
This is the fourth analysis of cases referring to the attacks. In the first three, the court opened 100, 200 and 250 criminal actions, respectively, against those accused of the acts.
In all, 1,390 people were denounced by the PGR for involvement in the attacks. Bolsonaristas invade Esplanada dos Ministérios
