Through a report sent to the Federal Supreme Court (STF), the Federal Police (PF) said that digital influencer Bruno Monteiro Aiub, known as Monark, committed the crime of disobeying the court decision by not complying with the orders of the STF minister, Alexandre de Moraes, who ordered the influencer’s new profiles to be blocked on social media.
Monark became a target of the judiciary for criticizing measures considered abusive imposed by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) during last year’s electoral period. Much of the criticism was directed at the President of the Court, Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
The influencer had all social networks blocked, in June last year, due to an interview with deputy Filipe Barros (PL-PR) in which the parliamentarian warned about weaknesses in electronic voting machines based on an investigation opened at the request of the TSE itself. , in which a hacker invasion of the system was confirmed.
In the order against the influencer, Moraes admitted that Monark was being monitored by TSE employees to identify criticism of the Electoral Court.
In September last year, Monark decided to move to the United States. At the time, when confirming the change, the influencer told People’s Gazette that “Brazil has become a dictatorship of the Judiciary” and that he feared for his life because he was “politically persecuted”.
In November 2023, Monark announced the resumption of its podcast, “Monark Talks”, on newly created profiles.
