PF report

The Federal Police sent the report on the expertise of Ibaneis’ cell phones to the STF. The governor of the DF was removed from office

After the seizure of the cell phones of the governor removed from the Federal District, Ibaneis Rocha (MDB), the Federal Police report pointed out that there was no connivance on the part of the emedebist with the invasions at the headquarters of the Three Powers on January 8.

The PF concludes that, “by analyzing the available media, considering everything exposed, chronologically, the investigation did not reveal acts by Governor Ibaneis in changing planning, undoing orders by authorities of the security forces, omitting information to higher authorities of the federal government or even preventing the repression of the advance of demonstrators during acts of vandalism and invasion.”

The PF document was made available to the Federal Supreme Court (STF) this Thursday (2/9). The report, to which the metropolises had access, points out that Ibaneis made and received a total of 36 phone calls between the day before the invasion, on January 7, and the date of the terrorist acts, on the 8th.

According to the PF, after 3:30 pm on 1/8, when the extremist acts were in progress, it is possible to see all the treatment that Ibaneis had in the face of the invasion and depredation of the headquarters of the Three Powers.

From that moment on, Ibaneis made numerous contacts with the deputy governor Celina Leão (PP), with the PF delegate and then Executive Secretary of Public Security of the DF, Fernando Sousa; with the Minister of Defense, José Múcio; with the presidents of the Chamber and of the Senate, Arthur Lira and Rodrigo Pacheco; and with the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino.

removal

STF minister Alexandre de Moraes removed Ibaneis from the position of governor on January 8, after the invasion and depredation of the National Congress, the Planalto Palace and the STF.

At the time of the decision, Moraes stated that “absolutely nothing justifies the omission and connivance of the Secretary of Public Security and the Governor of the Federal District with criminals who previously announced that they would commit violent acts against the constituted powers”.

Ibaneis gave testimony to the Federal Police, spontaneously, on January 13. The emedebist declared that he was “absolutely surprised” by the lack of resistance required by the seriousness of the situation on the part of the Military Police of the DF (PMDF).

The retired governor told the police that he was “angry” when he saw scenes of some MPs fraternizing with demonstrators.

Ibaneis stated that “there was some kind of sabotage”, but that the ongoing investigation should clarify. According to Ibaneis, Anderson Torres was dismissed because he was absent from the country at the time of the “tragic event” and, therefore, lost confidence in the then secretary.

The PF carried out a search and seizure at addresses linked to the retired governor, including the mansion where he lives, in Lago Sul, on January 20. Ibaneis was not at home during the operation. Three days later, the emedebist’s defense handed over two of Ibaneis’ cell phones to investigators.

At the end of this Thursday afternoon, Alexandre de Moraes authorized the return of the two cell phones of the removed governor.
