The Federal Police carried out 18 search and seizure warrants this Tuesday (16) in the 26th phase of Operation Lesa Pátria, which investigates people suspected of financing, promoting and promoting the acts of January 8, 2023 that led to the invasion and depredation of the headquarters of Three Powers, in Brasília.
The warrants were issued by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and are complied with in the states of Rio Grande do Norte (1); Santa Catarina (1); Pará (4); São Paulo (1); Minas Gerais (3); Holy Spirit (4); Tocantins (1) and Mato Grosso do Sul (3).
According to the PF, the unavailability of goods, assets and values of those investigated was also determined to compensate the public authorities for expenses of around R$40 million to recover assets, such as “property, furniture and objects” from the Palácio do Planalto, National Congress and STF..
The facts investigated, says the PF, constitute in theory the crimes of violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, coup d’état, qualified damage, criminal association, incitement to crime, destruction and deterioration or destruction of specially protected property.
