Most municipalities in the country generate less wealth than the resources currently deposited by families in private pension plans for minor children or dependents.

Data from Fenaprevi, an entity that represents companies in the sector, indicate that gross funding for this public was BRL 960 million, between January and April – an increase of 16% compared to the same period in 2022.

This value exceeds the GDP of 82.5% of the country’s cities, all small and medium-sized. Elias Fausto, in the interior of São Paulo, for example, registered a GDP of R$ 860 million, according to the IBGE.

Despite the performance, plans for minors account for only 2% of deposits in the sector.

Most are focused on individual plans for adults and 9% are on collective plans which, in total, register R$ 1.3 trillion, an amount administered by financial institutions.
