President of the recently created Mixed Parliamentary Front for the Creative Economy, deputy Lídice da Mata (PSB-BA) wants to vote in the first half of next year on the project that creates the national policy for the development of the creative economy.
The text, authored by the parliamentarian herself and former deputy Marcelo Calero (PSD-RJ), includes a definition of the topic, objectives and establishes the areas that would integrate the policy, such as fashion, architecture, culture, education and science and technology, among others.
“Of course, there is a stronger aspect in culture, but we intend to bring science and technology into this field, mainly in the area of technological innovation”, says the parliamentarian.
The project foresees a creative economy development system to promote initiatives such as incubators and accelerators and creative economy hubs.
Two experts will contribute to the topic, according to the deputy. The economy Ana Carla Fonseca, director of Garimpo de Soluções, creative economy; and Paulo Miguez, rector of UFBA (Federal University of Bahia).
