Parazão 2023 is postponed by STJD – News of Brazil

The Superior Court of Sports Justice for Football (STJD) determined the postponement of the start of the 2023 Paraense Championship.
Last week, the president of Paragominas, Paulo Toscano, said that the club “gave all the necessary inputs” so that the Paraense Championship did not start before the STJD judgment.
Paragominas, which was relegated in Parazão 2022, understands that Bragantino and Águia de Marabá played in last season’s Paraense Championship irregularly, as they selected players who should have served suspension.
Toscano celebrates the decision of the STJD and reinforces that Jacaré intends to participate in this edition of the Paraense Championship. “We’ve been battling since March 14, fighting and appealing. We lose when it goes to Belém and we win when it goes to the STJD. Let’s wait for the trial in Rio de Janeiro. We hope to participate in this year’s Parazão”.

Midfielders Hatos and Guga were denounced by Paragominas for acting irregularly in the 2022 Paraense Championship. At the time, the TJD-PA even suspended the quarterfinal dispute.
Hatos was expelled in the state elite of the year 2021, when he was playing for Itupiranga, for the first leg of the quarterfinals against Tuna Luso. He was judged after the competition and received a five-match ban, serving one in the return match against Tuna and having to sit out four other matches in any competition promoted by the FPF.
The player signed a contract with Cametá for the 2021 Paraense Series B dispute, but played normally in six games. In this year’s Parazão, he also failed to comply with the decision of the TJD-PA, defending Braga in five matches.
Like Hatos, Guga was also expelled in the first leg of the Parazão 2021 quarterfinals, playing for Itupiranga. At the time, the player was suspended for the return game and, after the club’s elimination, the midfielder was judged by the TJD-PA and caught two hook games.
As he had already fulfilled one, he should fulfill the other in the next competition promoted by the FPF. Águia hired the midfielder and, like other athletes, requested a consultation with the Federation about possible irregularities.
