Paraná Pesquisas publishes 1st electoral survey for the Municipality of Maceió

Paraná Pesquisas released this Tuesday (18) the first survey for the 2024 municipal elections in Maceió. In both scenarios, the current mayor João Henrique Caldas (PL), known as JHC, would be re-elected to the 30% of the second-place vote, Federal Deputy Alfredo Gaspar de Mendonça (União Brasil).
The survey also showed that 74.1% of Maceio people approve of JHC’s management in the city hall. The survey was conducted between April 13th and 16th and the margin of error is 3.5 percentage points.

Scene 1:
- JHC (PL): 48.4%;
- Alfredo Gaspar de Mendonça (União Brasil): 18.3%;
- Rui Palmeira (PSDB): 8.6%;
- Davi Davino Filho (PP): 8.3%;
- Alexandre Ayes (MDB): 6%;
- Blank/null/none: 6.1%;
- Does not know/did not answer: 4.4%.
Scenario 2:
- JHC (PL): 49.5%;
- Alfredo Gaspar de Mendonça (União Brasil): 17.5%;
- Delegate Fábio Costa (PP): 10%;
- Rui Palmeira (PSDB): 8.6%;
- Rafael Brito (MDB): 2.3%;
- Blank/null/none: 7.1%;
- Don’t know/did not answer: 5%.
Methodology
Paraná Pesquisas interviewed 800 voters in the city of Maceió in person, between April 13 and 16, 2023. The margin of error is 3.5 percentage points, and the confidence interval is 95%. The survey is not registered with the TRE-AL (Regional Electoral Court of Alagoas). Electoral law requires registration only for polls published in the election year.
