Palmeiras and Flamengo climbed one position on the list during the last week
Palmeiras is the Brazilian club with the highest classification in the Opta Power Rankings. The overall leadership of the list is occupied by Bayern Munich, Germany, with a score of 100, closely followed by Manchester City, with a score of 99.2.
The ranking uses a hierarchical Elo ranking system that allows comparison between clubs from different places. The system measures the strength of each team based on parameters such as the championship played, in addition to the country and continent in which a club is inserted.
Classification
The platform establishes a global football club ranking system that covers nearly 13,500 teams spread across 413 national leagues across 183 countries. The scale used goes from zero to 100, with the worst team getting the lowest rating, while the best gets the highest rating.
The ranking is updated daily, with the scores changing according to the results of the matches. Palmeiras and Flamengo, for example, rose one position on the list during the last week.
