The Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, defended this Saturday (13) the massive release of parliamentary amendments that took place this week and said that there is nothing to do with the so-called “secret budget”, extinguished by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) in the year past.

“It’s like water for wine, so much so that you can say exactly who the funds were released to, with transparency. It is important for us to be able to detail what the government’s action has been in releasing this resource”, he said.

“We have already released around BRL 4 billion to pay for amendments and resources that the previous government had defaulted on in states and municipalities. queues in health such as surgery and exams, support for social assistance”, he said, adding that between April 26 and May 10, the government invested R$ 1.6 billion in parliamentary amendments.
