Operation that found links between the PCC and Adélio Bispo was “hidden” by the PF

The operation would have been triggered after the discovery of evidence of fractional payments of BRL 350,000 from PCC members to a company owned by lawyer Fernando Costa Oliveira Magalhães, who worked on Adélio’s defense team, two years after the attack against the former president. He denied involvement and said that the transfers are related to the defense of other clients.

“It is reasonable to infer that the fractional payment of BRL 315,000 constituted aid provided by the said faction to cover the fees of the lawyers for the author of the attack, making use of the resources moved by the aforementioned Setor das Ajudas do PCC”, said Bruno Savino in the dispatch.

Bolsonaro questioned the conclusion of the investigations

According to Folha de São Paulo’s investigation, the Federal Police would have carried out investigations in the temples of an evangelical church that supposedly hired Zanone to defend Adélio, but faithful said they were unaware of the funding.

Magalhães, on the other hand, stated that he is not aware of the amounts received by the lawyer, and that he was invited to assist in the defense with “serious and enormous damage to the cause, of a personal, family and financial nature”.

The Federal Public Defender’s Office, which currently represents Adélio and acts as curator, stated that it was not notified of the new investigation by the PF.
