Open extreme José Aldo Trophy takes place next Saturday with prizes of up to R$ 2 thousand

Manaus (AM) – The tournament Trófeu José Aldo, Grand Prix of the Open extreme Manaus will take place next Saturday, May 24th, in partnership with the Federation of Mix Martial Arts of Amazonas (FEMMA), in the Dom Pedro food court, in the Midwest zone of capital. The event, which starts at 5 pm, will have bleachers open to the public, but VIP chairs are also available, costing 50 reais.

There will be a total of four Kickboxing Grand Prix worth R$ 2,000 for each champion and a Boxing fight. There will be three clashes in the MMA modality, one of which will feature a Tunisian athlete.

“My team has prepared a training routine so that I can develop a work totally different from what I usually present in my fights, after all, this time I’ll be fighting Kickboxing and not Muay Thai, which is more usual in my routine. I never think about ‘win or lose’, the most important thing is to perform well and apply what we are working on day to day. I know the potential of all the opponents that are in the GP and I am sure that whoever wins will have deserved the result, because they are excellent athletes”

For the X-UNION team, fighter Rosa Melo continues balancing between work and two daily training sessions for preparation and says that the expectation is to always do a fight better than the other and has faith that she will be crowned champion at the end of the two fights of the night .

“Preparation is going at full steam, reconciling work and the two workouts a day that I do, it’s pretty busy, we’re working hard to come out strong and come out with the victory, God willing. The expectation is to do one fight better than the other because as it is a GP if everything goes well there will be two fights in the night to be able to consecrate champion with a lot of faith and a lot of effort”

The event is organized by Mestre Márcio Pontes and his son Marcelo Pontes in partnership with FEMMA, the expectation is that the event will attract the general public with its first special edition in honor of the fighter José Aldo.

“My preparation has been intense, training 2 to 3 times a day, because it’s a GP, my team and I are also focusing a lot on physical preparation. The expectation is the best, we will not leave Itacoatiara just to participate in this great event, we are not going there just to participate, we are going to dominate, we are going to win!”
