Number of international tourists in Brazil exceeds pre-pandemic mark for the first time – 12/30/2023 – Panel

In November, the number of international tourists entering Brazil surpassed the 2019 figures for the first time, the period before Covid — officially declared a pandemic by the WHO (World Health Organization) in March 2020.
Last month, the country registered the arrival of 504,395 foreign visitors, exceeding data from the same month in 2019 by 7%. The data is from Embratur.
Furthermore, it was the second biggest November in history in terms of number of foreign visitors, behind only 2015.
Argentines represented 25% of total international tourists in the month, attracted by the Libertadores final between Fluminense and Boca Juniors and by the World Cup qualifying match between the Brazilian and Argentine teams, both at Maracanã.
