Defender leaves Fluminense after five seasons
Captain of Fluminense in the unprecedented Libertadores title, Nino no longer plays for the Rio club. The 26-year-old defender was announced as a reinforcement for Zenit, from Russia, this Thursday (4).
Nino signed with the Russian club until June 2028. Fluminense and Zenit do not confirm values, but the deal is valued at 5 million euros (around R$26.8 million, at the current price).
Nino for Fluminense
The defender arrived at Fluminense in 2019, on loan from Criciúma, and was acquired definitively at the end of that year. In total, he made 246 appearances for the club and scored 13 goals.
Nino was Libertadores champion and two-time Rio champion with Fluminense. While at the club, he also won the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with the Brazilian team.
