Neymar doesn’t leave the bench, frustrates Japanese fans and sees PSG take a turn

The Japanese crowd was eager to see Neymar on the field this Tuesday, but Luis Enrique, coach of Paris Saint-Germain, once again did not take advantage of it.

Causing euphoria whenever he appeared on the screen, the Brazilian was applauded by the fans present at the National Stadium, in Tokyo, when he left the tunnel for the return of the second half. In the end, he just sat on the bench again and saw his teammates lose 2-1 to Inter Milan, current runners-up in the Champions League.

After five months recovering from injury, Neymar returned to work with the ball in mid-July, in the re-presentation after the vacation period. He traveled to Japan, where the Parisian club is on a pre-season tour, but missed friendlies with Al Nassr and Cerezo Osaka, as well as this Tuesday against Inter. The last game of the tour will be against Jeonbuk Hyundai, on Thursday.

Luis Enrique climbed PSG full of reinforcements signed in the current transfer window. Left-back Lucas Hernandez and defender Skriniar started in defence, midfielder Ugarte made up the midfield and Marco Asensio was used in attack. On the side of Inter Milan, striker Marcus Thuram, son of world champion Lilian Thuram, made his first game starting as a starter.

The first half took place with the ball at the feet of the Parisian team for most of the time, but chances were created by both sides, although without so much volume. The Paris team was more offensive and tried to risk Stankovic’s goal more often, but it wasn’t enough for them to return to the locker room with some advantage on the scoreboard.

On their return to the field for the second half, the Japanese crowd showed euphoria when they saw Neymar appearing on the lawn, but soon realized that he was not wearing his game shirt. The Brazilian sat on the bench again and, from there, saw Vitinha hit a beautiful shot from outside the area to score a great goal, with just eight minutes of ball rolling.

Time passed and Neymar was still on the bench. After vibrating with Vitinha’s goal, he experienced a sequence of regrets after Internazionale got the comeback with goals scored by Sebastiano Esposito and Sensi, with an interval of two minutes between them, in the 36th and 38th minutes, respectively.
