New MPF members are introduced to state and federal authorities in Amapá – News of Brazil

Five members of the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPF) assigned this month to the Attorney’s Office in Amapá (PR/AP) were presented to state and federal authorities. This Tuesday (15), the prosecutors of the Republic Aloizio Biuelini, João Pedro Becker, Pedro Afonso Eidt, Pietro Migliavacca and Tácito Coaracy were at the state Public Ministry (MP/AP) and at the Judiciary Section of Amapá. From now on, they assume the positions previously held by members removed by request, who go to their destination units in different Brazilian states. The meetings were chaired by the chief prosecutor of the PR/AP, Alexandre Guimarães, who ends his seven-year career in Amapá this week.
At the MP/AP, the Public Prosecutors were welcomed by the Attorney General, Paulo Celso Ramos, Attorney Nicolau Crispino and Public Prosecutor Christie Damasceno. In the Federal Court, the reception was made by the director of the forum, federal judge Anselmo Gonçalves. The meetings were an opportunity to strengthen ties and reinforce existing cooperation between institutions in Amapá. The conversation addressed the success of inter-institutional actions, in the civil and criminal spheres, work in the intelligence area and the good relationship between state and federal agencies in the state.
The Attorney General of Justice Paulo Celso Ramos stressed the integration between the MPs and mentioned joint actions that resulted in benefits to the population. In his speech, the chief prosecutor of the PR/AP, Alexandre Guimarães, emphasized how indispensable cooperation between the agencies in different areas has been. During the meeting, the five new members of the MPF had the opportunity to hear reports about the particularities of the region and about the most relevant issues in the state. Members of the MP were willing to collaborate with the attorneys of the Republic who started to lead the body’s work in Amapá and made the institution’s structure available for all the support they needed.
During the passage through the MP, the prosecutors of the Republic visited the attorney of Justice Ivana Cei. In addition to getting to know the new members who will make up the MPF in Amapá, she was honored with a certificate of recognition, due to the approval of her name by the Federal Senate to integrate the National Council of the Public Ministry. In the homage, the MPF thanks and recognizes the indispensable and fundamental partnership in joint actions and congratulates her for the recognition and crowning of her work.
In the Judiciary Section of Amapá, the new members spoke about their experiences prior to the MPF, including in the judiciary. Federal judge Anselmo Gonçalves highlighted the respectful relationship between the Federal Justice and the MPF in Amapá. He stressed that, although there are disagreements, the institutions are committed to doing what is right. Finally, he emphasized that the doors of Federal Justice in Amapá are open to MPF members.
Last Monday (14), the new prosecutors of the Republic participated in events at the administrative headquarters of the MPF. In the morning, there was a meeting with authorities from the Army, Port Authority, Federal Police and indigenous institutions. On the occasion, chief prosecutor Alexandre Guimarães was honored for his contribution to the causes of indigenous peoples and traditional communities throughout his career in Amapá. In the afternoon, PR/AP’s internal public gathered in the auditorium to welcome the institution’s new members.
