If you benefit from the program, the student will find information on the app such as: tuition fees; payment schedule; payday; installment value; identification of the parcel’s jurisdiction; bank, branch and account information into which the installment was paid; parcel status; and date of processing of each information. For those who have not been considered, the application must inform the reason for rejection and provide guidance to the student on how to resolve the situation. Payment of the enrollment installment Students covered by the program will receive the first payment of R$200, referring to the enrollment bonus, between March 26th and April 3rd, in a single installment. The payment date depends on the student’s birthday month. This amount is not deducted from the attendance incentive of R$1,800, which will be paid in nine installments throughout the year. In addition, you must: be between 14 and 24 years old; be part of a family registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico). According to MEC, students who are part of families that receive Bolsa Família will have priority to receive the benefit. On the other hand, students registered as a single-person family with Bolsa Família are not entitled to the program. 🗒️ How to sign up for the program The MEC defined who is entitled to receive aid through student data sent by schools. Among the information, schools reported which students were regularly enrolled until March 8, 2024. This data was crossed with information from the Single Registry, so that bank accounts for students could be opened. To be eligible, the student needed to have a CPF and be registered with CadÚnico. Information contained in CadÚnico on February 10, 2024 was considered. Read other guidelines for issuing the CPF here. ▶️ REGISTRATION IN CADÚNICO To register with CadÚnico, a member of the student’s family, aged 16 or over, must go directly to the Social Assistance Reference Center (Cras) in the city where they live or service station with the documents. When registering, the representative must present at least one document from the following list for each person in the family: Birth Certificate; Wedding certificate; CPF; Identity Card – RG; Work Card; Voter ID; Administrative Register of Indigenous Birth (RANI) – only if the person is indigenous. 💰 What amounts will be paid The MEC informed that the benefit will be paid in stages, as follows: incentive for enrollment, with an annual value of R$200; attendance incentive, worth R$1,800 annually; incentive for completing the year, worth R$1,000 annually; incentive for Enem, in a single installment of R$200. In the case of the attendance incentive, the total amount of R$1,800 will be paid in nine installments throughout the year. The exception will be for this year, when the benefit will be paid in eight installments, totaling R$1,600. ✅ What are the rules of the program The MEC informed that it will require a series of data about the student’s school life so that the benefit can be paid regularly. Check it out below: Enrollment incentive: registration for the school year must be done within two months of the start of the school year. Attendance incentive: the student must attend at least 80% of school hours. It will be up to educational institutions to communicate to the government, every month, the school attendance of students. Completion incentive: the student must pass the year to receive the annual amount. Furthermore, if applicable, the student will have to have proven participation in assessment exams, such as the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb). Enem incentive: the amount will only be paid to students who complete high school and are present on the two test days. In case of return after abandonment or failure, the government informed that it will only pay the benefit once for each high school year. ❌ Students will be disconnected from the program who: choose to voluntarily abandon their “Nest Egg”; who are no longer within the eligibility criteria, such as age and registration with CadÚnico; who fail the year twice in a row; who abandon studies for more than two years; who commit any type of fraud or irregularity. 🗓️ What the payment schedule will be like The registration bonus, worth R$ 200, will be paid between March 26th and April 7th. If a student does not receive the benefit due to an update in government data, payment will be made by July 1st. For the attendance incentive, worth R$1,600, payment will be made in eight installments.
