Physician Nelson Teich has a rare credential. He wanted to be Jair Bolsonaro’s Minister of Health and ended up getting it, when Luiz Henrique Mandetta was fired. He stayed in the chair for less than a month and left because he didn’t want to share the craziness of administering chloroquine during the Covid pandemic.

Contrary to the opinions of doctors and government bureaucracy, Lula authorized the use of ozone therapy by health professionals as a complementary treatment in certain situations.

Says Teich:

“In my opinion, this release of ozone therapy was a mistake. Now we don’t have the chaos, fear, pressure, politicization and polarization of the acute period of Covid-19, so the two discussions may seem different, but they are not. This fact shows how difficult it is for the health system to be conducted in a technical and scientific way…. It is a mistake to think that the treatment will only be used in situations that are approved today and that only highly qualified professionals will use the medicine. of indications and inappropriate use can always happen.”
