National Public Security Fund allocates BRL 38 million to Amapá – News of Brazil

The Ministry of Justice and Public Security reported that a Term of Authorization for advancing the transfer of R$ 1,009,563,054.00 from the National Public Security Fund (FNSP) to the states was signed by President Lula, during a ceremony this Friday (21).
The amounts to be transferred from the National Fund for Public Security to the States relate to the year 2023. The first half of the amounts will be paid in August and the rest will be paid off by the end of 2023.
A total of R$ 38,395,702.07 was allocated to Amapá, equivalent to 3.8% of the FNSP.
During the ceremony, transfers were also signed to 24 states plus the Federal District and to the 132 municipalities qualified in the Escola Segura public notice, launched in April.
The qualified projects that will be funded by the public notice involve preventive measures for patrols/school rounds by the military police or municipal civil guards, training courses for security professionals and courses that include welcoming, active listening and referral to the network of protection for children and adolescents, in addition to research and diagnostics, as well as strengthening of cyber investigation and monitoring. Amapá received BRL 2,898,000.00 for these purposes.
