Proposals can be submitted until April 7

Until April 7th, the first public consultation for the preparation of the new National Culture Plan (PNC) is open. Any citizen with an account on the Gov.br Portal must answer questions about society’s expectations about the PNC on the Participa+Brasil Platform

This will be the first stage of updating the PNC, which establishes goals and indicators for cultural policies. In force since 2010, the current plan will end this year.

At this stage, the Ministry of Culture is collecting expectations from the cultural sector and society about planning policies for the sector. Consultation participants must respond, in up to 300 characters, to the following question: “What do you expect from the next National Culture Plan (PNC)?”

Next, the participant must answer their color/race, according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), their gender identity and whether they are a person with a disability. Only those who are logged in to the Gov.br Portal can participate.

Discussed at the National Culture Conference, which took place at the beginning of the month in Brasília, the National Culture Plan will be written based on the decisions of the conference and with further debates with the Culture councils in the states and municipalities. During the process, there will be other public consultations, hearings, face-to-face debates on trips around the country and online votes.
