This is the third year of carrying out activities in the four corners of the city

Manaus (AM) – The traditional Christmas Carretinha continues to bring the magic of this special period to the neighborhoods of Manaus with ‘Itinerante Christmas’. Typical characters, music and the show “The Fantastic Story of the Christmas Cookie” make children happy. In its last two editions of 2023, Natal Itinerante goes to Campo do Buracão, in the Lírio do Vale neighborhood, this Thursday (21), at 5 pm, and to Largo de São Sebastião, in the Center, on Saturday (23), at 6pm.

Itinerant Christmas is promoted by the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, in partnership with the Social Promotion Fund (FPS). This is the third year of carrying out activities across the four corners of the city.

So far, the Christmas Cart has already passed through Cachoeirinha, Coroado, Igarapé do Passarinho and the São João community, in the municipality of Manacapuru, bringing the magic of Christmas to over 3,500 people. One of the highlights of the Christmas Cart ride is the opportunity to take photos with Santa Claus, a hit with children.

The show “The fantastic story of the Christmas cookie”, presented at Natal Itinerante, is a production by Companhia Metamorfose. The story was a success last year and has continued this season, bringing smiles from the audience who are enchanted by each appearance of the central character.

“The children are enchanted by him. The actor who brings Biscoito to life, Weldson Rodrigues, is a dancer, choreographer and manages to show children that that character is real”,

says Socorro Andrade, director of the company, who leads a team of 20 professionals involved in the event.

On Saturday (23), the last day of artistic programs with a Christmas theme at Largo de São Sebastião, several attractions will liven up the cultural space. From 5pm onwards, the stage hosts the dance show “Ocupa Break”, by the group Nativos Crew.
