Municipal Health Managers receive Motion of Applause from Alap – News of Brazil

The Legislative Assembly of the State of Amapá (Alap) held this week the delivery of motions of applause to the municipal secretaries and the state secretary of health, due to the high rate of flu vaccination obtained in 2023 by Amapá.

Numbers from the Ministry of Health point to an immunization rate in the state exceeding 95%. “I am very happy with this recognition. Today Amapá is leading the national flu vaccination ranking, which is a source of great pride for all of us”celebrated Marcel Menezes, president of the Council of Municipal Health Secretariats of Amapá (Cosems/AP) and health secretary of Laranjal do Jari.

Motion of Applause is an official statement by Alap on a certain subject, provided for in the Internal Rules of the House of Laws. The motions in question were proposed by the deputy Alliny Serrão (União), head of the State Legislature, and unanimously approved by the parliamentarians.

“It is a source of joy to honor these men and women who helped put Amapá at the top of Brazil’s ranking as the state that vaccinated the most. We know that it was hard work, involving many hands, and we want to express our gratitude to all health teams in all municipalities, to all health professionals. We know how fundamental this work is to save lives”, scored Serrão.

The handover ceremony of the motions took place at the headquarters of Alap and, in addition to the president of the State Legislature, Department Alliny Serrão (União)was attended by the deputies Jory Oeiras (PP), Diogo Senior (MDB), Rayfran Beirão (SDD) It is Telma Nery (Cida).

“It is a very important moment of recognition, appreciation of a whole service uniting the segments, the secretariats, the Government, the Assembly, the Ministry of Health, the National Force and PAHO. All together for what is really important: saving lives. The vaccine step was done in 45 days. It is a recognition that makes us believe that we are really on the right track, that we still have a lot to do, but that the results are already starting to show, they are already showing”stressed Tânia Vilhena, deputy state health secretary, who represented Silvana Vedovelli, folder holder.

The following municipal health secretaries attended the ceremony to receive the award: Marcel Menezes (Laranjal do Jari), Adevan Mira (Amapá), Cassia Alencar (Calçoene), Alexsandro Marques (Cutias), Pedro Rodrigues (Ferreira Gomes), Elisangela dos Santos (Itaubal), Aline da Silva (Mazagão), Josimar dos Santos (Oiapoque), Esmeralda Montenegro (Porto Grande), Ithiara Madureira (Santana), Tarlysson Soares (Serra do Navio) and Lilian Abreu (Tartarugalzinho). Ana Cláudia Costa (Pedra Branca do Amapari) and the state secretary of health, Silvana Vedovelli, could not be present and were represented by Elza Guerra and Tania Vilhena, respective assistant secretaries.
