The MST (Movimento dos Trabalhadores Sem Terra) started a campaign for its members and supporters to vote on the proposal on agrarian reform on the Brasil Participativo platform of the federal government.
The platform was launched in May by the Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) administration to consult the population regarding guidelines to be included in the Pluriannual Plan (PPA) 2024-2027 and, therefore, to be contemplated with Union resources. She will receive suggestions and votes until July 14th.
In a message sent to MST members, coordinator Ceres Hadich asks them to take advantage of free time in settlements, camps, meetings, assemblies, schools and cooperatives to vote on the proposal “Agrarian Reform to Develop Brazil and Combat Hunger”, which is currently it has almost 4,000 votes and is in 28th place in the ranking of the most voted.
The proposal with the most votes today is the one that calls for technical qualification and professional enhancement of community health agents and agents to combat endemic diseases, with more than 60 thousand votes.
The authors of the five proposals most voted by the population will be invited to debate on the subject at the 3rd Interconselhos Forum, to be held in August this year, with the presence of ministers and President Lula.
The proposals that receive the most engagement will be analyzed by the responsible bodies for incorporation into the PPA, which will be voted on in Congress before its implementation.
