MPPR injunction prohibits Coritiba organizers in 2024

O Public Ministry of Paraná (MPPR) obtained an injunction prohibiting the entry of organized Coritiba fans throughout the 2024 season. The suspension will be counted from the beginning of the Paraná Championship and can be extended. There is an appeal.

With the court decision, fan materials Alviverde Empire and Alviverde Dragons They cannot enter the stadiums under penalty of a fine of R$100,000.

According to a note published on the MPPR’s official website, this Wednesday (20), the injunction obtained in the 19th Civil Court of Curitiba responds to a public civil action presented by the public body, through the Consumer Protection Prosecutor’s Office of Curitiba

The action also asks that all members of the fans present themselves to the Judiciary to facilitate identification in case of non-compliance. According to the note, they must bring a list containing their name, ID and CPF number, address and telephone number.

The MPPR’s ban on organized Coxa fans had already come into force this year, as an administrative decision, following confusion among fans in Coritiba’s game against Cruzeiro, in Vila Capanema, in November.

On that occasion, 25 fans were identified by the Civil Police of Paraná after the fight, 10 from Cruzeiro and 15 from Coritiba. They go through the judging process.

At the end of the Brasileirão, at the beginning of December, the STJD judged both clubs for the confusion and gave four games of suspension as punishment to the teams. Coxa completed all matches behind closed doors in 2023, while Cruzeiro will use next season to comply with the measure.
