The Electoral Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPE) asked the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) to investigate deputy Márcio Jerry (PCdoB-MA) for alleged “crime of gender political violence” against also deputy Júlia Zanatta (PL-SC). The parliamentarian accuses Jerry of alleged harassment during a meeting of the Public Safety Commission last Tuesday (11). The deputy denies the alleged harassment and says he was the target of fake news. The information was disclosed by the Congress in Focus.

“The real scene that Bolsonarist deputy Júlia Zanatta distorted, distorted. Absurd fake news. I appealed to her to respect deputy Lídice da Mata”, said the parliamentarian in the twitter on the last day of the 12th. During a discussion between Júlia and Lídice, Márcio approached Júlia from behind and asked her to respect Lídice’s 40-year mandate.

After the episode, the deputy accused Jerry of having put his face in her hair and of having smelled her neck. The PL presented a representation against the parliamentarian for alleged sexual harassment. The MPE requested that Júlia and the witnesses present be heard and that the recordings of the episode be analyzed and preserved.
