The Public Prosecutor Sylvio Henrique Lorena Duque Estrada sent the City Hall a request for information about defaults on payments related to energy consumption. Amazonas Distribuidora, MPAM requested the presentation of a spreadsheet with the current situation of debts related to energy consumption by the City Hall.

“In addition to the damage to the population caused by a possible cut in the supply of energy to the various municipal bodies, the City Hall’s default with Amazonas Energia may lead to the manager being held accountable for an act of administrative impropriety. If there is no debt settlement, the managers who were in charge of the municipality over the last 20 years will be called to respond in court for this”

declared the Public Prosecutor.
