The Criminal Operational Support Center (CAO-Criminal) and the Coordination of the Criminal Prosecutor’s Offices of Macapá met, on Thursday (23), with representatives of the Civil Police and the State Specialized Police, to align actions in partnership. Among the topics discussed, the project “Reception is a Crime and May Have Cost a Life” stands out.
The Project is an initiative of CAO-Criminal and the Coordination of Criminal Prosecutors. Launched this year, the action aims to raise awareness among teenagers and young people, through lectures in public and private schools, on how to prevent and act in cases of theft, robbery and reception.
The meeting was led by the Public Prosecutor, Jander Vilhena Nascimento, and was attended by the public prosecutor and general coordinator of the Operational Support Centers (CGCAO), Judith Teles; the general inspector of the Civil Police of Amapá, Victor Crispim, and the director of the Specialized Police Department (DPE), Daniel Paes Araújo Marsil.
The prosecutor, during the meeting, suggested that the State of Amapá join the virtual tool called “Celular Legal”, available on the Federal Government’s website and managed by ANATEL. The tool allows the population to enter the International Mobile Equipment Identification (IMEI) number to check whether the device is properly regulated or whether it is an item resulting from theft or theft.
“The tool is essential to strengthen the fight against cell phone-related crime in Amapá. The initiative not only protects citizens, but also contributes to the efficiency of our investigations. By joining, we take an important step in promoting safety and preventing illicit activities.”emphasized Jander Vilhena.
As a next step, a next meeting was defined, with the participation of the Anatel manager in Amapá, with the intention that the State of Amapá, through the Civil Police, be included in the “Celular Legal” program.
