Mother of model Gisele Büdchen dies, aged 75; she was treating cancer

Porto Alegre (RS) – Gisele Bündchen’s mother, Vânia Nonnenmacher, died this Sunday (28) at the age of 75. The information was first released by the GZH website, in contact with Hospital Moinhos de Vento.

She was admitted to a hospital in Porto Alegre (RS), where she was being treated for cancer. Vânia leaves behind six children. In addition to Gisele, she had Patrícia, Rafaela, Raquel, Graziela and Gabriela.

Neither Gisele nor family members had commented on the death and until the publication of this text there was no information about burial. The wake is expected to take place on Monday morning (29).

Vânia was a retired bank employee. Gisele’s last publication with her mother took place in July 2022, her birthday. “I am eternally grateful for everything you have done and do for me. Thank you for life”, wrote the model at the time.
