Senator Sergio Moro (União Brasil-PR) met with Minister Rosa Weber, president of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), on Tuesday night (18) days after being denounced by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) for a speaks out of context about Minister Gilmar Mendes.

The meeting took place behind closed doors and the content of the conversation was not made public. On social media, still during the morning of Tuesday (18), Sergio Moro said that he has “serious differences” with the magistrate, but that he never accused him of crimes or offenses, and that the video in which he appears quoting the minister and which generated a complaint by the PGR was maliciously edited.

“I have serious disagreements with Min. Gilmar Mendes, but I never accused him of crimes. The culprit for the offense to Min. Gilmar is the one who on Friday (14) edited and released excerpts from the video with malice. I, for my part, never had the video. I find it strange and repudiate the lightning complaint. If the PGR had listened to me before, it would explain everything”, he said.

The action in the STF will be reported by Minister Cármen Lúcia. Moro said he was surprised and showed indignation with the action of the PGR.
