Moro and Dallagnol defend award-winning denunciation, already criticized by the PT

After the disclosure that the award-winning delation is being used in the investigation of the murder of councilor Marielle Franco and driver Anderson Gomes, Senator Sergio Moro (União-PR) and former deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Podemos-PR) criticized the Workers’ Party (PT) and recalled that, on other occasions, the party usually disapproved of this instrument when it was used by Operation Lava Jato.

“The award-winning collaboration, despite being demonized by the PT, revealed the thefts at Petrobras during the Lula government, and is now invoked by the PT to confirm what we already knew, that Lessa is the suspect in Marielle’s murder. I hope they get to the point and bite their tongues when they criticize modern methods of investigation,” said the former Lava Jato judge to the newspaper. Folha de S. Paulo.

Former prosecutor of the Deltan Dallagnol operation classified as “hypocrites” those who criticized the device. “Watch the magic happen: now the award-winning delation will become the most wonderful thing in the world, capable of solving all of Brazil’s problems. The left, the guarantors of occasion and the prerogatives will all celebrate what until yesterday they criticized in Lava Jato. Hypocrites,” said Dallagnol at the twitter.

“Delation is now proof? Until yesterday, the PGR was denouncing and the STF was madly rejecting complaints against corrupt people on the grounds that only the delation is not enough. Some law must have changed… Or what changed was the cover of the file?”, added.

“Elcio Queiroz, whistleblower in the Marielle case, has been in custody since March 2019, for more than 1,500 days. Where is the minister Gilmar Mendes, the lawyers of the prerrô and the journalists who criticized the lengthy prisons in Curitiba? The problem was Lava Jato, right?”, questioned the former deputy.

The national president of the PT, deputy Gleisi Hoffmann (PR), countered Dallagnol and Moro’s statements on the case. Gleisi stated that the information obtained from the delation “corroborates the existing evidence”, unlike the “Republic of Curitiba that arrested people and then, when they did not find evidence, forced confessions”.

“Lavajatistas that still remain are upset with the denunciation in the Marielle Franco case. Let’s make the differences very clear. Élcio Franco’s information corroborates the existing evidence. Unlike the Republic of Curitiba, he arrested and later, when he didn’t find evidence, he forced confessions. Marielle’s case is neither conviction nor a power point. More respect!”, said the PT president.

Earlier, the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, announced that Élcio de Queiroz agreed to a plea bargain with the Public Ministry and that this occurred about 20 days ago. Élcio revealed details of the participation of a third individual in the death of the councilwoman and the driver, and confirmed the circumstances of the execution of the crime.

Based on the accusation, the PF this morning arrested Maxwell Simões Corrêa, known as Suel, who was the owner of the car used to hide the weapons that were in an apartment belonging to Ronnie Lessa, a retired military police officer accused of being one of the perpetrators of the murders.
