More than 120 public and private schools are enrolled in the 2023 Amapa School Games – News of Brazil

The 2023 edition of the Amapa School Games from 12 to 14 years old and from 15 to 17 years old promises to be one of the most disputed in recent years. More than 120 municipal, state and private schools confirmed their presence. Registration closed on Wednesday (31).
Now, schools will have until June 7th to enroll athletes enrolled in the institutions, who will compete in collective and individual Olympic and Paralympic sports.
For Macapá, registration forms can be delivered in person at the Ginásio Poliesportivo Avertino Ramos, on Rua Cândido Mendes, in the Centre. Institutions and students from other municipalities can send registrations to the following e-mail address: [email protected].
In all, schools from 14 municipalities in Amapá will participate in the Games, which are organized by the State Government. The competitions start on June 10th and the expectation is to bring together more than 4,000 student-athletes.
The Amapaense School Games were divided into two stages. The municipal phase will only have games in the collective modality. The state stage, which will take place at the end of June, will feature team sports champions and disputes in individual categories with athletes from across the state.
The Secretariats of State for Sport and Leisure (Sedel) and Education (Seed) are the organizers of the competition. The champions will receive medals, trophies and the chance to represent Amapá in the Brazilian School Games for 12 to 14 year olds, and in the Youth School Games for 15 to 17 year olds, which will take place in the second half of this year.
