Moraes tells the PF that he was approached and cursed by suspected attackers in Rome

Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), and his family told the Federal Police this Monday (24) that they were approached and cursed in Rome by the couple Andréia and Roberto Mantovani and their son-in-law, Alex Zanatta Bignotto, during the alleged aggression suffered just over a week ago at the airport in the Italian capital.

In the statement, which had excerpts released by the metropolises this Tuesday (25), the magistrate and the family maintain the version given initially, that they would have suffered political aggression. The website claims that the PF had already seen the images recorded by the airport’s internal circuit, which would prove the minister’s version.

Moraes, his wife Viviane Barci de Moraes, their daughters and son were heard by the PF in São Paulo and reported that Andréia approached him when he was registering to enter the VIP room of TAP when she started calling him “communist”, “bandit” and “bought”.

After entering the VIP room, Andréia would have started recording a video saying that Moraes would have “frauded the polls and stolen the elections”, until she was interrupted by the three children, who were still doing the accreditation, that she would be sued if she did not stop the recording.

At that moment, Andréia allegedly called her husband, Roberto, who attacked the magistrate’s son, calling him “son of a bandit, communist, thief”. He would have slapped the boy in the face, made his glasses fall off, and was restrained by a foreigner who was at the scene.

According to excerpts from the testimony, Andréia and Roberto left and came back with more aggression. This time, it would have been Alexandre de Moraes himself who warned that they would be prosecuted in Brazil.

The defense of the Mantovani couple reinforced, in a note, that “at no time did they go to meet or direct any offense at Minister Alexandre de Moraes, when they visualized him, for seconds, in the entrance area of ​​a VIP room, located on the mezzanine of the airport in question”.

In addition, Roberto and Andréia say “that they were, especially Andréia, seriously offended by the aforementioned young man who, on two occasions, disrespected them, with extremely heavy offenses, which only ceased when Minister Alexandre de Moraes intervened, who led him back to the VIP room”.
