The minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes responded to a request from the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) and forwarded, this Monday (6), to the Federal Police the case of the “crowdfunding” made by supporters to former president Jair Bolsonaro. With this, the PF will investigate the donations received by Bolsonaro (PL) via Pix, which total R$17 million, between the months of January and July this year.

Last month, Deputy Attorney of the Republic Carlos Frederico asked the Court to ask the PF to examine whether the “fundraiser” donors are among those investigated by the STF in the digital militias investigation. “As required by the Attorney General’s Office, the files should be forwarded to the Federal Police, Coordination of Inquiries in the Superior Courts for the necessary steps”, determined Moraes.

The action was filed with the STF by senators who allege alleged illegal conduct and request action regarding donations to the former president. The “fundraising” was announced on June 23 by parliamentarians and former members of the government to pay the fines that Bolsonaro received in legal proceedings.
