The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes determined this Tuesday (31) that the Federal Police take the testimony of the President of the PL, Valdemar Costa Neto, within five days on the declarations referring to the draft that suggested decreeing a state of defense at the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).

At the beginning of the month, the PF found the document at the residence of former Secretary of Public Security for the Federal District Anderson Torres. Earlier, the PF sent a letter to the minister requesting the hearing. In the document, the PF cites the politician’s statements in interviews about having received minutes similar to the one found in Torres’ house.

“Thus, the statements of Valdemar Costa Neto, when he said that he had similar minutes with him, of a manifestly illegal and unconstitutional nature, must be clarified in the broader context of this investigation, notably with regard to the adhesion, by third parties, of an eventual intention scammer, which can characterize the crimes provided for in arts. 359-M (coup d’état) and 359-L (violent abolition of the democratic rule of law) of the Penal Code,” wrote Moraes.

The minister determined that the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) be notified of the decision. The PGR is still analyzing another investigation request against Valdemar for the statements about the draft.
