The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, sent a request, this Friday (27), to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), to suspend the inauguration of Bolsonarist deputies who supported or participated in the acts. January 8 coup plotters in Brasilia.
Moraes gave the PGR 24 hours to present a statement on the case. The inauguration of the deputies is scheduled for next Wednesday (1st).
Grupo Perrogativas, which requested the request, cited the actions of the following deputies: Luiz Ovando (PP-MS), Marcos Pollon (PL-MS), Rodolfo Nogueira (PL-MS), João Henrique Catan (PL-MS), Rafael Tavares (PRTB-MS), Carlos Jordy (PL-RJ), Silvia Waiãpi (PL-AP), André Fernandes (PL-CE), Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG), Sargento Rodrigues (PL-MG) and Walber Virgolino (PL -PB).
The group also asked the STF to suspend the effects of diplomacy of the parliamentarians, thus preventing the inauguration, in addition to the initiation of a police inquiry to “assess the criminal responsibility” of the mentioned deputies “in relation to the criminal acts of the 8th of January”.
A request was also made for the Electoral Public Ministry to be communicated to analyze a possible action against the deputies in the Electoral Justice.
